Back to School Summer Splash Bash Saturday, August 4th

This is a family friendly event and we had a blast last year. We had moms, dads, grandparents and kids all running around and having a great time. Be prepared to get soaked. Bring towels, drinks and pack a picnic lunch to enjoy together. We will have a toddler section for the little ones too.

This year marks our 40th Annual Haunted House!!
In 1978, the ladies of the Sorosis Club came up with a fundraising idea that has grown into our Annual Haunted House. It was an instant hit for the residents in our community and they look forward to coming back every year. Many local residents have come through as children and are now sharing the experience with their own grandchildren!
Beyond Stranger Things will open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from Oct 18th through Oct 27th starting at 7:00PM. Visit our Facebook Page for specific times. Each year our theme is changed to entice our audience and challenge their fears. Visitors are impressed with the creativity and special effects. Our scare factor is right up there with Halloween Horror Nights!!
It is only June but each of our set designers are busy behind the scenes and will soon bring their horrifying imaginations to life. Stay tuned and get ready to RUN…You will enter into a waiting area where our tour guides will walk you through three terrifying rooms before entering into our infamous dark and twisted maze. By this time you may be praying for the exit but two more rooms before being escorted OUT…forever.
Food and refreshments are available while you wait to take the tour.
It will take over 60 volunteers to transform our 3,000 square foot building into a functional tomb of terror.  The monies we raise go toward charitable contributions benefiting area children such as scholarships, school supplies and to maintain our club. We are in need of donations for the various costs associated with the production and creation of this event. Monetary donations are much appreciated and as we are a registered non-profit organization, your donation may be tax deductible.

Annual May Banquet

New officers were sworn in at our Annual Installation Banquet held at Road House Grill. Our meals were delicious and we had a great time welcoming new members into the club and recognizing the dedication of all of our members.  A BIG Congratulations goes out to Ellee Massey who was nominated Woman of the Year!! We thank all of our members, their family, friends and all of the support we receive from the citizens, businesses, city and surrounding communities.
Our club was organized by a small group of women in 1958, who wanted to make a difference in their small town by focusing on the youth. Our fundraising efforts provide scholarships, school supplies, fun events, volunteer opportunities, food and gifts at Christmas. This tiny group ofwoman has grown tremendously and our annual celebration is a reminder to us all to stay true to ourselves and our mission, appreciate each other, help one another, and make that difference.
As promised....we have pictures!  Thank you Beth Riley for creating a great album on our Facebook page.
